Mani Zareei is a composer, instrumentalist, and arranger, born on December 24, 2004, in Kermanshah, Iran. He was raised in an artistic family where both of his parents were musicians, while his mother’s work as a painter helped create a home filled with both visual and musical inspiration. Mani took his first steps into the world of music at the age of four under the guidance of his mother.
At the age of six, he completed a children’s music course under the supervision of Mehrdad Akbari, and at eight, he began studying the kamancheh. He started his training with Aref Roustaei and later continued his studies with distinguished musicians including Rasoul Adib, Ardeshir Kamkar, and Shervin Mohajer, further developing his technique, musical expression, and understanding of the instrument’s subtleties.
At the age of fourteen, his growing passion for musical creation led him to study the principles of composition. In this field, he benefited from the guidance of prominent composers and educators such as Ahmad Pejman, Amin Honarmand, and Amin Taheri. His admission to the School of Fine Arts, where he studied instrumental performance, marked the beginning of a more serious and academic stage in his musical education. After completing this period of study, he continued his higher education at the University of Art in Tehran, majoring in the performance of Iranian musical instruments.
Mani Zareei’s artistic career includes collaborations with notable artists such as Ali Ghamsari and Iman Jamshidi, both as a performer and arranger. He has also participated in studio recordings and live performances with the Salaneh Orchestra and has presented independent concerts based on his own compositions and musical works. His artistic path reflects a continuous dialogue between academic training, performance experience, and an ongoing search for a distinctive and personal voice within Iranian music.
